January 1—This is the dumbest excuse for a holiday EVAR.

It really is. Ringing in a new year; seriously, what the fuck? It's nothing more than changing the date. That is so not worth celebrating. Having said that, I did have a nice little spot of champagne with the other stagehands New Year's Eve after we loaded out the Rockettes show. The out was originally scheduled to last only until 9:30 pm; then they said it might go till 3 am; then it actually ended at midnight. We all went up to the parking lot for champagne and beer (I did not partake in the latter) and hung out for another hour or two. I didn't do much talking, as I'm fairly reclusive and finicky about who I talk to, but it was nice to talk to some of the people I do talk to without having to worry about being interrupted.

My gum is doing about the same. I'm extremely annoyed at not being able to eat anything crunchy; I have a terrible craving for flautas. I think I will likely end up cooking the chicken and just rolling it up in tortillas without frying them. This will be terribly annoying, but dammit, I'm so sick of canned soup.

I've updated klutzy incidents. Also, I just finished a big knit project; I have to weave in the loose ends and block it still, but the pages for it should be up soon.

January 19—A Little Knitting Stuff

I got my stitches out on the seventh! True to my word, the first thing I did was eat celery. Then I got called in to work early, so I couldn't enjoy it as much as I'd have liked.

I finished the large knit project I've mentioned a couple of times previously, Dom's blanket. My computer is not recognizing my camera, so I can't upload the pictures of it yet.

I've updated the political blog and am working on some new stuff for Klutzy Incident of the Day.

I've moved around a few things in the knitting section, so if you had anything bookmarked, that may have changed.
