I met the Naval Officer (NO) online while I was in the fall of my freshman year at UT, in the fall of 2001. He wasn't a Naval officer at the time; he was in Navy ROTC but later got commissioned. We shared a mutual friend who later became FWB. NO and I talked online occasionally, but conversations were fleeting since he was busy with ROTC stuff and I was busy with Radio-Television-Film and work. I learned that he hosted a show on KVRX, and I made a point of listening occasionally so we would have something to discuss. However, as it fell during the time slot occupied by KVRX's biweekly meetings, I could only catch every other show. As it was, I usually had to work or do homework, but at least I was aware of his show, which seemed to please him. However, for one reason or another, he and I never talked much when I was going to UT. It wasn't until after I graduated that things began to happen. At this point, this story segues into its post college continuation. |
