The shed functions as an extension of the garage; all it really contains is the lawnmower and a few tools. Since everything that goes into it is relevant to yard work, there is little need for categorization within it.
Cleaning:
- If there is any shelving, brush off accumulated dirt every few months.
- Every few months, sweep the floor with a yard brush. Do this after cleaning the shelves so you don't end up cleaning the floor twice.
Organization:
- Items that see the most use, such as the lawn mower or rake, should be toward the front.
- Rarely used items, spares of anything, etc. should go toward the back.
- Use storage bins for miscellaneous small articles.
- Place plant pots, dirt, and any relevant items together in one area.
- Keep yard tools (rake, hoe, yard brush, etc.) together in one area, such as in a corner propped up against the wall.
