Striped Lace-Up Arm Warmers Pattern

Materials:
Needles: #8 straight needles
Yarn: 1 skein worsted weight black
Yarn: 1 skein worsted weight white
Other Materials: 2 lengths of black ribbon (about 4 feet each)

Gauge:
~4.5 stitches
5 rows per inch

Stitch Explanation:
K—knit
P—purl
st(s)—stitch(es)
St st—stockinette stitch
yo—yarn over
ssk—Sl two sts, one at a time, as if to K. Slide the left needle into the front loop of both sts and K them together.
K2tog—knit two together

Pattern: (Make 2, preferably at the same time so as to ensure the same length.)
Cast on 30 sts in black.
P one row in black.
Begin pattern in white. Switch colors every RS row.

Row 1: K2, yo, K to last 2 sts, yo, K2.
Rows 2, 4, and 6: P across.
Row 3: K2, ssk, K to last 4 sts, K2tog, K2.
Row 5: K across.

Repeat rows 1–6 till piece measures 8 inches or desired length. Repeat rows 1-3 once more. Row 3 should be black. Cast off as to P, with black.
Weave in loose ends; block. Fold the edges of each arm warmer in so the eyelets line up. Run ribbon through eyelets like shoelaces and tie a bow in the end. Trim off excess ribbon and knot ends.
