I designed this pattern as the first one for the Project a Week Project. I based it on the Trellis Rib Sweater with slight alterations: I designed it to be knitted in the round and with decreases at the top, plus I changed the number of repeats. I at first knitted the hat with only one trellis repeat, but I decided it looked better with two. The original sweater had three repeats, but I decided that would be too many on a hat. You c ould certainly add more repeats if you wished.
