Anti-St. Valentine's Day Card 2006

I despise St. Valentine's Day; I always have. Make no mistake about that. Once in elementary school, the teachers decided to have a Valentine's Day party, and they said everyone had to wear red. My reputation became even worse when I showed up wearing blue. Heh. Ever since then, I've pointedly worn black on the fateful day. I also like to send out hideously inappropriate cards as jokes. I made this one for St. Valentine's Day 2006 and sent it to Aron and Justin. The image that I crossed out was blatantly ripped off of reproduced without permission from http://www.chinaflowergift.com/hongkong/10015.jpg.

Note: A fasces, commonly used as a symbol of power in Roman times, was a bundle of sticks and an axe bundled together. The sticks were used to punish misdemeanors; the axe to punish felonies. Thus perished St. Valentine.
