Wash and slice the tomato into bite-sized pieces. After you've sliced the tomato, rinse it off to wash away the seeds. Put the bite-sized pieces in boiling salted water; cook for just a couple of minutes or until they start to lose their color. Remove the tomatoes from the saucepot with a small strainer and set aside. Add the egg noodles and cook until done. Rinse and tear one basil leaf into small pieces; place in the bottom of the serving bowl. Toss noodles, tomato, and basil together; serve. |
