1 pound tomatillos, husked and quartered
1/2 small white onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, chopped
1 large jalapeño chile, seeded and chopped
1/2 cup loosely packed cilantro, chopped
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon comino
1/4 teaspoon sugar
dash salt
1/2 cup chicken broth
Place all ingredients except broth in blender jar and purée. Pour into small saucepan with broth and bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer, partially covered, 15 minutes.
